012 - Absolute Beginners Drawing and Painting (Room 502) - Your First Art Class

$530 = $450 (tuition) + $80 (all materials provided) (3 CEUs - Twelve 3-hour Sessions)l

This is a beginning class in drawing and painting designed for those with little or no artistic training. A series of weekly exercises will train the student to master the foundation skills needed to continue to more advanced courses. The exercises include rendering the value scale, gradients, using a view finder, sighting, construction, various painting techniques (under-painting, glazing and impasto), composition and still-life. Each class begins with a demonstration of the exercise followed by one-on-one instruction. Students will also be given an optional "homework" assignments that will expand on the material presented in class.
