After twelve years writing The Ethicist for The New York Times Magazine, Randy Cohen is working on a new project, Person Place Thing, an interview show based on this idea: people are particularly engaging when they speak not directly about themselves but about something they care about. His guests talk about one person, one place, and one thing that are important to them. The result? Some terrific talkers tell stories they never have before. Past shows can be heard at www.PersonPlaceThing.org.
On March 24th, those guests are art critics Roberta Smith (The New York Times)and Jerry Saltz (New York magazine) -- astute, articulate, and married. To each other. This will be a rare joint appearance for them. Q&A will be followed by accompanying bluegrass music, from Duncan Wickel and Eric Robertson.
