FIGURE STUDIO

Students have a choice of drawing or painting. It is recommended to begin drawing for the first class.

Students will gain a mastery of realistic painting and drawing skills to develop a classical approach to the figure. Drawings and paintings are based on observation from life. Students will address composition, perspective, focal point and value pattern. Emphasis is placed on proportional accuracy, foreshortening and the use of light and shadow to achieve convincing three dimensional form.
