FIGURE DRAWING: LONG POSE

This is an open drawing course. In the first few weeks, students will be introduced to and develop various techniques to drawing the figure. The remaining classes will consist of a single long pose in which you may develop one or more drawings in the technique/s of your choice.

• graphite pencils- 3h, hb, 2b, 6b
• colored pencils- red, black, white
• charcoal- vine (soft), compressed, charcoal pencil (variety of from soft to hard)
• blending tool/stub
• kneaded eraser
• white eraser
• sharpener/blade
• chamois
• drawing paper- nothing smaller than 14"x17"
• charcoal paper- same
• colored drawing paper- same (light to medium tone) 2 to 3 sheets only
• no newsprint
