Description
A full time, HALF or FULL semester intensive art program providing rigorous academic instruction with specialization in either drawing, painting or sculpture. Please note, this is not part of the Graduate Program and is not applicable towards our MFA degree.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION will be provided for students who attend either the Half or Full Semester programs

- Figure Studio
This course meets Monday through Wednesday from 10am to 5pm. Instruction is provided in figure drawing and painting. Instructors are present for all classes.
- Art & Culture
Each week students will visit a different gallery or artist studio where a broad range of artistic styles and subjects will be presented and discussed.
- Electives
Students have the choice of taking an elective in drawing, painting or sculpture. Additional electives may be taken for an additional fee of $250 for Half semester or $500 for Full semester. See current Continuing Education Schedule for list of options:
- Earn College Credits
Many institutions will grant college credit for attending classes at the New York Academy of Art. You will be provided a Certificate of Completion at the end of the session. Please note recognition of credit is at the discretion of the undergraduate institution you attend.
- Portfolio Review
You have the option of having your work reviewed by our faculty to determine how best to build a successful portfolio to be used for application to undergraduate and graduate programs
All of our instructors have college teaching experience on the undergraduate or graduate level and in some cases have sat on admission committees.
