Painting and Printmaking in Umbria, Italy

The New York Academy of Art will offer a special two-week painting and printmaking workshop this summer in the Italian countryside, from July 11 – 18 & July 18 – 25. Open to all skill levels, the workshop will focus on landscape painting for the first week, under the instruction of the renowned painter Robert Armetta. Students will learn perspective, light and shadow, color relationships, and key techniques for capturing nature. The second week will be devoted to printmaking with Master Printer John Volk, who will guide students in exploring the Italian landscape in relief and monotype techniques, developing the student’s understanding of the craft of printmaking.

All-inclusive $4,495 per person (2 weeks) / $2,495 per person (1 week)
