
Carroll Dunham lives and works in Connecticut. His most recent solo exhibitions include Art Institute of Chicago, 2026; National Museum, Oslo, 2023; Kunsthalle, Dusseldorf, and Sprengel Museum, Hannover, 2019–2020. His work has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions at international institutions including Museum Ludwig, Cologne; Millesgården, Stockholm; Drammens Museum, Drammen; a mid-career retrospective was held at the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York, in 2002. Dunham has also been included in notable group exhibitions including multiple Whitney Biennials and SITE Santa Fe; and at institutions including MAMCO, Geneva; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Museu Picasso, Barcelona; and The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston. Carroll Dunham’s paintings will be the subject of a major survey exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, opening in December 2026.

Jerry Saltz is the senior art critic at New York magazine and its entertainment site Vulture. He is the winner of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize in Criticism and a 2019 National Magazine Award. Before joining New York in 2007, Saltz had been art critic for The Village Voice since 1998, and was twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize during his tenure there. A frequent guest lecturer, he has spoken at the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim, the Whitney Museum, and many others, and has appeared at Harvard, Yale, Columbia, the Rhode Island School of Design, the Art Institute of Chicago, and elsewhere.
