After studying with Walter Erlebacher at The Philadelphia College of Art (BFA) and Richard McDermitt Miller the “Figurative Sculptor of Soho” at CUNY Queens College (MFA)  Horn went to Italy where he resided for 12 years. While in Italy he developed his unusual career studying at “Studio Simi,”in Florence while apprenticing at Henreaux Marble Studios near Carrara. After moving to Rome he was an assistant to Romolo Felice, mold maker to Giacomo Manzu’ .

 

He currently teaches at the NYAA as well as The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA)  where he is  considered a natural teacher, great with students, possessing knowledge and skills important to sculpture and of high value to the school as a whole.He has worked on numerous sculpture commissions here and abroad, on major historical conservation projects in Italy under the aegis of the Soprintendenza di Belle Arti of Rome, including La Galleria d’Arte Moderna, The Arch of Constantine, the Capitolini Museum, the Roman Forum  as well as the Kunstmuseum in Bonn, Germany. Since his return to the United States he has worked on private commissions and has shown in Italy, New York and Philadelphia.
