I’ve always been aware of or desired to be aware of my limitations. This is not pessimism, but rather, a desire to unveil the context and beaten paths that influence my every action. Through my paintings, I explore my sentiments about existing within institutions. I am not attempting to critique or supplant existing institutions, but contend with what is implicated, unseen, or made inconceivable when our existence and desires are contained within man-made systems.
