I frequently think of memory as a messy hodge-podge collection of sounds, compositions, and colors that mold together to form this mess of emotional experience. Being able to pull one unique and well-rounded moment from this mess is what interests me in painting. Working with texture, layering and intense detail I aim to show a hyper-specific moment in time while still leaving room for emotional interpretation.
