Having grown up in a country so incredibly different from which I was born, I grew up analyzing people’s habits, culture and speech patterns. Partially in the hope I’d morph into the crowd, but also out of fascination and a deep desire to understand and to be understood. To me, painting is a method of understanding and I hope my work can be, not only a representation of who I am, but a representation of humanity and how we, as humans, interact with the world and our physiological relationships to physical spaces.
