My paintings challenge reductive portrayals of Nigerians by centering dignity, presence, and cultural vibrancy. Using acrylic and oil, I draw from Nigerian textiles, Nollywood lighting, and contemporary visual culture to create figures that feel intentional and assured. Through color, scale, and pattern, my work repositions Nigerian identity beyond stereotypes and insists on African art as living, evolving, and firmly rooted in the present.
