My body of work functions as an “Evidence of Existence,” using various forms of documentation to anchor otherwise fleeting and subjective memories. Taiyuan, named after the city I was born in, has indexical imagery like family portraits and maps meeting my own hazy recollection of a distant time: an assurance that despite how the world and I have changed, certain moments retain their meaning.
