Bodily Sacrifice is not just my story, but reflects the experiences of many veterans. External injuries are taken more seriously than the unseen bodily damage and mental health issues that are often ignored. Veterans risk their bodies for the sake of the country and then are left to navigate the bureaucratic game master called the Veterans Affairs to obtain the compensation needed to survive. Every civilian unknowingly engages in this governmental game of bodily sacrifice.
