My work is about observing and finding meaning in what otherwise are brushed off as “everyday” moments. My process is similar to people-watching, but through frozen moments of photographs from a different time period than mine. I ask questions about the subjects of the photos as I paint them, fabricating narratives about the unique lives of each individual and the events taking place at that specific moment.
