It’s a joy to be seen in a world that so often looks away. As a Black trans woman, I use emotion as material, spilling it onto canvas in layers that tremble, roar, and remember. My current work interrogates Black culture through the lens of Americana, honoring its beauty while exposing who gets remembered, who gets erased, and who decides. These large-scale portraits are declarations, reframing belonging through tenderness, defiance, and the quiet insistence that to be seen is not a small thing; it is everything.
