Louden graduated with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from Yale University School of Art. She has received solo exhibitions at the Birmingham Museum of Art and the Weatherspoon Museum (Greensboro, NC) and has exhibited in group shows at the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art (Ridgefield), the Drawing Center, Carnegie Mellon University and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art (Kansas City). Louden’s work is held in major public and private collections including the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Neuberger Museum of Art at SUNY-Purchase, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the National Gallery of Art, the Arkansas Arts Center, Yale University Art Gallery (New Haven), the Weatherspoon Art Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. She has received a grant from the Elizabeth Foundation and has participated in residencies at Tamarind Institute, Urban Glass and Art Omi. She is represented by Morgan Lehman Gallery.
