My work explores how I simultaneously despise everything about art in the early Modern era, and base my idea of success on it. Through an art history lens, I consume the technical aptitude and aesthetics of the masters, and adore the spectacle and pure skill of religious works. And though I am always drawn to it, the art I love embodies white supremacy, patriarchy, and Eurocentrism. Which, my identity and existence inherently conflict with.
