Through painting, I explore the formation of sentimental bonds between people and possessions, and how our interests and styles are rooted in personal history. With a mixture of figure, object, and pattern, I portray how physical objects can be imbued with love, purpose, and life. Like small snapshots, I memorialize the parts of my life that I treasure, like the clothing in my closet, the decor on my windowsills, and the birds I encounter day-to-day.
