My goal with painting is to create an interpretation of my reality that appears undeniable, that though it may deviate from earthly and pictorial accuracy, doesn’t deviate from the truth. I think of the Cubists trying to see the world from all sides, as if they were trying to shatter the very fabric of reality.  Through a formal exploration of visual information, I try to arrive at a destination that derails expectations despite commonplace subject matter. I want to make common and familiar things strange through atypical interactions and juxtapositions.
