The Office of the Registrar manages class registration, classroom scheduling, enrollment verification, grading and academic records maintenance, transfer credit evaluation, monitoring students’ curricular requirements and degree audits, degree awarding, veterans’ benefits, FERPA compliance and transcript requests.
Mission
The Office of the Registrar supports the institutional mission and educational programs of the New York Academy of Art by providing effective and efficient service and support related to class registration and scheduling, enrollment, graduation requirements and student academic records. The department seeks to:
- Create and maintain accurate academic records in compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
- Interpret institutional and governmental policies to faculty, staff, students, family and the public.
- Make data available in easily accessible formats to departments for academic purposes and research.
