Corinne Beardsley’s geological sculptures, installations, and performances reflect on touch, mortality and sensory embodiment through haptic records of clay. She received a MFA from the New York Academy of Art and a BFA from Hartford Art School. Corinne has exhibited in the United States and Internationally. Select solo and group exhibitions include Field Projects (New York), Sargent Daughters/Shrine (NY), Flowers Gallery (NY), Site:Brooklyn, Central Academy of Fine Art Museum (China), M16 Artspace (Australia), Sawtooth Gallery (Australia), Real Art Ways (Hartford, CT), and Salisbury University Gallery (Maryland). She has been awarded fellowships and residencies including at the Vermont Studio Center, Red Lodge Clay Center (Montana), Central Academy of Fine Art (China), Babayan Culture House (Turkey), University of Tasmania (Australia) and Poh Chang University (Thailand). She directed Mosely Gallery and lectured at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore and Salisbury University. Currently she is a contributing writer for Frontrunner Magazine and organizes WWW Art Swaps with NY Artists. Corinne is from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
